For its first participation in SP-ARTE, Nil Gallery is pleased to propose a poetic conversation between the artists: Miles Debas, Gommaar Gilliams, Slimen Elkamel, Kiko Miyares, Fathi Hassan and Ato Jackson.

Art has always been a privileged means of expression for the dreams and aspirations of humanity.

With this vision, Nil Gallery offers a careful selection of works by six of its artists around the theme of dreams. The booth entitled "Songs" proposes a fascinating exploration of the human psyche, through the unique and innovative eyes of Miles Debas, Gommaar Gilliams, Kiko Miyares, Slimen Elkamel, Fathi Hassan and Ato Jackson.

Each of these artists, in their own way, invites us to dive into a dreamlike and poetic world, where imagination becomes reality and the boundaries of reason become blurred.

Miles Debas, an artist born in France and living in the United States, takes us into a surreal world with his paintings of vibrant colors and abstract forms where emotions are heightened and time stands still.

Oscillating between abstraction and representation, Belgian artist Gommaar Gilliams works on large-scale textured paintings. He uses paint and collage to capture the subtle nuances of reality, while infusing it with a dreamlike, mystical dimension. These ethereal works invite us to meditate on the fragility of our existence and our connection to nature.

Kiko Miyares, a rising star of Spanish sculpture, proposes a sculptural vision of dreams, through works imbued with poetry and lightness. Her sculptures of aerial cars, made of reflective wood and inspiring landscapes, seem to defy gravity and float in space.

In his dotted paintings, Tunisian artist Slimen Elkamel uses subconscious elements, fluid imagery and visual metaphors to explore complex themes such as identity and memory.

Fathi Hassan's work is a vibrant and powerful testament to the enduring cultural heritage of his Nubian and Egyptian ancestors. The use of invented scripts inspired by kufic and organic forms found in nature, as well as the masterful application of color and collage, create works that are not only visually stunning, but also intellectually stimulating.

Finally, Ato Jackson's works explore the representation of the body in virtual space, using flamboyant colors and blurring the lines between figuration and abstraction to create atomized, abstracted forms that evoke a dreamlike quality.

A must-see for all art and poetry lovers.
