Shang Liang, born in 1991, is an emerging Chinese artist and a graffiti ink pioneer. Imbued with their own sense of raw authenticity, his works are often political, addressing Asian stereotypes through distorted caricatures, imagery, and language.
The works of Shan Liang have elements of cubism, surrealism and graffiti, with an almost Basquiat-like quality. His art is deeply influenced by traditional Chinese art and urban graffiti culture. He graduated from the French institute of visual communication.
Shang Liang is currently living and working between Paris and Beijing.
