Born in 1988 in Katiola (Ivory Coast) Yeanzi currently lives and works in Bingerville (Ivory Coast). In 2012, he graduated as the major of his promotion from l’Ecole des Beaux Arts d’Abidjan (National School of Fine Arts of Ivory Coast).
The atmosphere surrounding his work is very singular thanks to his unique technique which consists in melting some wasted plastic materials – collected in the streets of Abidjan – on paper or canvas.
Yeanzi aims at revealing beauty and estheticism through the ashes of these wasted trashes. A parallel can be surely drawn to the situation of the African Continent which will hopefully rise from its ashes and access prosperity in the near future.
This very unique technique places Yeanzi’s work at the confluence of Abstract and Figurative Arts.
Yeanzi have been exhibited in several prestigious Art fairs all over the world.
In 2017, the National Museum of Contemporary Art « Mohamed 6 » (Rabat, Morocco) acquired one of his artwork.
